Pricing, Terms & Policies

You may cancel your Verbo subscription at any time, directly from within the app (Account → Subscription → Cancel). Cancellation stops all future billing immediately — there is no minimum term, lock-in period, or cancellation fee.

You will retain access to your paid plan's features until the end of the current billing period you've already paid for. After that, your account reverts to the Free Trial tier (or, if your free corrections have been used, a limited free tier).

NHL Group does not offer refunds for subscription amounts already charged, including partial billing periods. Because Verbo is a digital subscription service with immediate access to all features upon payment, charges are considered final once processed.

Billing errors: if you believe you were charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, or a charge that doesn't match your selected plan — contact us at info@nhlgroup.co.za within 14 days of the charge. We will review the transaction and, where a genuine error is confirmed, issue a correction or refund via your original payment method through Paystack within 5–10 business days.

This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (South Africa) that cannot be excluded by agreement.

1. Who we are

Verbo is a product developed and operated by NHL Group ("NHL Group", "we", "us", "our"), based in South Africa. These Terms govern your use of the Verbo application and subscription service (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

Verbo is an AI-powered application that listens to or reads user-submitted text and speech and provides grammar correction, tone rewriting, and related writing assistance. Verbo uses automated, AI-based processing — corrections and suggestions are provided on a best-effort basis and may not always be accurate. Verbo is a writing aid, not a substitute for professional, legal, medical, or other expert advice.

3. Accounts & eligibility

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent/guardian's consent, to subscribe to a paid plan.

4. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans (Pro and Pro+) are billed monthly in advance, in South African Rand, via our payment processor Paystack. By subscribing, you authorise NHL Group to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers before the new price takes effect on your next billing cycle.

5. Cancellation

See our Cancellation Policy above. In short: cancel anytime from within the app, effective at the end of your current paid period.

6. Refunds

See our Refund Policy above. In short: no refunds for amounts already charged, except where a genuine billing error is confirmed.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Verbo to process unlawful content, to attempt to reverse-engineer or resell the Service, or to abuse the free trial (e.g. creating multiple accounts to bypass trial limits). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

Verbo, its branding, and its underlying software are the property of NHL Group. Text or voice content you submit for correction remains yours — we process it to provide the Service and do not claim ownership of it.

9. Limitation of liability

Verbo is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, NHL Group is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on AI-generated corrections or suggestions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
